Jonathan Schwartz dedicated Super Bowl Sundays for over 40 years to 'Salute to baseball' playing baseball influenced songs on his show in the NY radio area. I just recently heard about this last year as I did not grow up in NY, but we will try to do it justice from the historical side each Super Sunday going forward.

This SUPER BOWL SUNDAY we will begin this annual series with 'Radio Baseball Begins'. Taking a look at it's beginnings and the Golden Age of Radio as it gives way to TV and sports fandom everywhere.
